For years, the image issues women have faced have been exacerbated by the portrayal of Victoria's Secret Angel models who epitomized an extremely narrow & idealized standard of beauty that is unattainable for most women.
Over the years, this representation contributed to a culture where women felt pressured to look a certain way, leading to low self-esteem, body dissatisfaction, and unhealthy habits like eating disorders & excessive exercise. This portrayal of beauty faced a lot of backlash, with many calling for more diverse and inclusive representations.
While Victoria's Secret started to make changes, the damage had already been done, so in 2023 we set out to show the world that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, & colors by photographing 20 everyday women in wings for our Angel Campaign.
Here are their stories. We hope that this collection of images prove that ALL women are beautiful.
